Planning Phele Soundtrack:
I found it very difficult to because I was given very little detail on what Phele wanted for his advert. There was several times I got told different things as he could not make up his mind , so I took things into my own hands and just chose the key points he had given me in his brief which was ' Hip ' and ' Current' .
To begin planning I needed to analyse Phele video and look at the cuts and see what sound effects I could use , music and also if I could cut my music to the speed of the video. The video has a very dark tone to it so I thought maybe deep music would be best for this advert.
This advert involved two teenage actors and considering it was a snapback advert and snapbacks is a new current trend which mainly teenagers wore. I also thought the music style I need to use is upbeat and current so I looked through the charts and all the music os hip-hip and dnb.
I did not need to record any of my own sounds as there was no speech in the advert and it is like a mini music video.
Planning My Soundtrack:
I wrote up a small brief for Phele to work with for my advert sound. This included how I wanted my advert to come across and sound to the audience. I told Phele he could email me at any point or ask me in person if he needed any more advise or information.
